Report an Incident

If you think something has gone wrong, tell us. It is always better to report something that turns out to be harmless than to stay quiet about something serious. Reporting early helps us deal with problems faster.

What is a cyber security incident?

If you are not sure whether something counts, report it anyway. Common examples include:

  • A suspicious or unexpected email asking you to click a link or log in
  • An account you think someone else has accessed
  • A lost or stolen laptop, phone or USB stick
  • Personal or confidential data sent to the wrong person
  • A device behaving strangely, such as pop-ups or programs you did not install
  • Someone asking you for your password, by email, phone or in person
